In this spooky musical comedy, hapless heir Reginald and his money-grubbing fiancée, Veronica, tear through a dusty family attic in search of long-lost war bonds. Their desperate looting is interrupted by a Gothic teen determined to commune with Agatha, the ghost of a little girl said to haunt the house. Set in Middle America in the early 1970s, RSVP takes place on the morning of Michael and Susan’s wedding. Michael, a nonfiction writer by trade, should be preparing for the ceremony — but instead, he is consumed by his first attempt at fiction. Writing what he knows, he creates a protagonist in his own image. But when that fictional version of himself is confronted by a familiar stranger from the past — or perhaps the future — the real Michael is forced to face truths he may not be ready to admit.
