2023 Concert Premiere at Green Room 42

"R.E.D. Hat Fight Club", an irreverent queer musical parody, received a world premiere concert staging May 14, 2023 at Green Room 42.

The show, written by Jonathan Larson Grant winner Joel B. New, centers on a milliner who is fired on her 50th birthday. When she suddenly falls in love with a mysterious stranger, she spirals into an underground fight club where it is up to her to save the world.

"R.E.D. Hat Fight Club" stars Lydia Gaston, Tari Kelly, Wendy Makkena, Charles Sanchez, Terry Palasz, and Jill Melanie Wirth. The concert was directed by Katharine Pettit, and featured David Fraley as music director.
